| Practice Start-Up
There is an old saying that "the devil is in the details." A successful practice start-up requires the coordination of many, many details, everything from legally organizing the practice to making sure that there are waste baskets in every room and office. MEDEX delivers value by having all the details organized in a checklist with assignable responsibilities, expected completion dates, and a sign off when completed. In addition, our staff has been through the process! We know how to do it.
The MEDEX program is to communicate as early as possible with the physician and the hospital and determine the scope of the work. Who is responsible for what? Critical items are identified and a critical path of those tasks which must be completed to avoid delay of other tasks are identified and assigned.
Please contact us to request a checklist for our Practice Start-up Program. |

Electronic Medical Records
Medex Practice Solutions is committed to finding more efficient ways for its clients to practice medicine. In today's rapidly changing healthcare environment, clinics and physicians are being squeezed by the rising costs of operations on one end and federal regulatory requirements on the other end. Physicians are working extra hours to complete patient documentation so that they can stay in compliance. The inefficiency of managing patient paper records and the associated costs are cutting into physician income.
Today, physicians are looking for solutions to overcome these issues, by cutting operational costs, improving productivity, revenues, patient care and the overall quality of life. “The computer revolution has enormous potential to improve primary care in the areas of medical records, communications between patients and physicians, information sharing among health care providers, and rapid access to reliable medical information.”
Why implement an EMR system to your practice?
- Speed of charting increases
- Better documentation to support charges

- Charge capture interface with PM system
- Near paperless environment
- Legibility of chart notes
- Multiple viewers of a single chart

Services:
After researching numerous Electronic Medical Record (EMR) companies, Medex has developed an extensive benchmarking process. Based on information we receive from each client, we work to determine 4-6 vendors meeting your specific needs. We then compile a report discussing each of these systems for strengths and weaknesses. From this list we will determine 2-4 products for the demonstration process. Our objective is to use our years of practice management expertise to evaluate the entire flow of your office and identify areas an EMR will most benefit your practice. It is critical to analyze each position in the clinic during this phase and understand how each position interacts with the new technolgy. Most importantly, understand how each position works within the revenue cycle. The technology is of no benefit unless it works well with the revenue side and charges leave the office right the first time.
